Prepaid postage using permit number 1209, zip code 23231. Official looking letter, with bold text at the top requesting a response to this notice. No business name is given, but they claim that our home warranty is about to expire unless we call the "program director, Eric Henderson" at (805) 586-9483. Claims to be a "final notice", with a fake cutout "home protection identification card", complete with a fake customer ID and fake coverage section listing "AC/Hot water heater/furnace/appliances/and more". Also shows coverage status as "pending" and has an "effective date" of 11/24/25, then shows an expiration date of 12/15/25, 10 days from today (12/5/25). Threat that if they are not contacted then "the property's home warranty ... may be expiring or has expired". It also states warranty is secured by an unaffiliated bank. NOTE: this is 3rd year in a row that this company has sent this letter. I contacted them at # in letter (805-586-9483) last year and told them to remove me from mailing list. Bottom line is that (1) they are lying and (2) the phrasing actually threatens the addressee. They claim it is a "solicitation". Obviously they do not know the meaning of the word. A letter in the mail with the homeowners name, address and mortgage company name and a customer id number, stating the home warranty has or will be expiring. Wants you to call 805-586-9483 and speak to Eric Henderson Program director to resolve the issue. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Home warranty division] [Location: ID, USA - 83611]
Received an unsolicited letter from Erik Henderson, Program Director and agent, at Home Warranty Division. The heading is "RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE IS REQUESTED", and it says my property coverage is about to lapse. He requests to immediately call him at 805-586-9483 to renew my coverage. The letter has a Customer ID for myself, a policy effective date (listed as a date in the past, when I would never have had any contact with them), and an expiration date a couple days from now. I have never been in contact with, nor have I had any business with this person or this organization. This is clearly a scam designed to elicit a false fear of urgency. Scammer sent a letter stating I had a home warranty policy that would expire on 1/5/2026. I had no such policy. Scammer's name is Eric Henderson and the phone number provided was 1-805-586-9483.
