I received a VM from someone name Angela Merrelli claiming she had some legal documents that would be delivered to me the next day between 3:00-5:00 p.m. They left phone number 833-532-6501 for contact and a case number. I called the number & they claimed to be something called Independent Legal, they asked for the case number and then the last 4 of my Social Security number. After I gave them that info they said ****** Bank was suing me for a CC debt that was active for 5 yrs & then said I had stopped making payments in 2022 but I've never had a CC with ****** Bank which is what I told her, she basically called me a liar and said the Debt WAS mine. I asked her what address she had for me and she did have my address. I told her this was a scam as I had NO DEBT with ****** bank and that I would file my OWN lawsuit against her, she got snarky and said fine, see you in Court. No documents were delivered & so far I've heard nothing more from them. I'm concerned because they DO have my personal information that they clearly got from somewhere. Received a phone call from David Horton from a blocked number informing he had documents to service for legal services tomorrow between 3 and 5pm and to contact 833-532-6501 [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: david horton] [Location: Burbank, CA, USA - 91501]

A man named David Horton called saying he was a legal courier and needed to deliver legal documents to me and would be doing so at my residence or place of work between 3 and 5 pm the following day. He left the phone number 833-532-6501 along with a case number. He had the details of my county, etc. I called the number where a woman said this was regarding a civil case and put me on hold when I asked for specific details. She knew my address, etc. While on hold I looked up the phone number and saw that it was associated with a scam so I hung up.
