Just signed up for AT&T internet/cable bundle through www.inmyarea.com. Feels like a scam All of the google reviews for the website itself are positive. I was directed to the site while researching how to get the fastest internet in your area from a reputable website, nerdwallet.com. Here is the nerdwallet article that led me to the www.inmyarea.com website: https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/utilities/how-to-find-the-best-internet-providers-in-your-area/ I clicked on the blue hyperlink "In My Area" Once going to the website and entering my zip code (I'm moving into a new apartment and need internet/cable), a list of ISP companies pop up with rates etc. They each have a phone number next to them (in red) to order. I called them to get a deal on AT&T internet/cable service and long story short, I foolishly ended up giving them my SSN, credit card, address, etc. I did all of this after googling the website and phone number that I had called and not finding anything bad. The phone number I called was 1 (844) 203-9775. I noticed when I go back to the site, different phone numbers pop up next to the ISP services/rates every time. But this is supposedly a very reputable website, according to google. After the phone call, I received a myriad of e-mails from "AT&T" giving me a confirmation number, order number, account number, blah blah blah. Here's a list of e-mail addresses that supposedly came from AT&T: AT&T Welcome <att-services.cn.853506187@emaildl.att-mail.com AT&T Services <order@ecom.wireless.att-mail.com no-reply@bundledealer.com no-reply@bundledealer.com via nr743im2atkfecra.6y1vq.f-7mn6mam.na43.bnc.salesforce.com I tried calling AT&T but they are closed for the night, so I will call them first thing in the morning to verify all of this. The SSN# was supposedly for a credit check to get me approved, but I monitor my credit closely, and I always get e-mail alerts when there are hard pulls to my credit report, and I didn't get one. I don't know,
