Not sure this is the best sub but... Priority One mailing list buying/selling scumbags! Started mysteriously getting paper magazines for the Golf Digest and Red Bulletin sent to my home 100% unsolicited. Made calls to the publishers directly, the GD people stopped the subscription but would not tell me how I ended up with this prepaid subscription nonsense. On to the next one... The 'Red Bulletin' (get this: it's some fucking rediculous Red Bull centered publication... Whaaa?! Looks like a prop from a bad comedy.) ... well they told me that the culprit who prepaid these subscriptions were called Priority One, a company which "buys and sells consumer information" according to the operator. Hm. Soulless fuckheads. Okay. Gimme that hitter imma call em. Called Priority One. They admitted to their shit business model and promptly canceled the subscriptions on their end, I adamantly stated that I 'unequivocally did not, do not and never will opt in to any usage of my personal data' for anything their business is involved with. "Okay sir, you will not be contacted or sent any future free magazine subscriptions" Yes, I asked, this is 95% of the calls she gets daily. Now what fellow redditors? Is there further protection from these garbage people I should be looking into? It's like they're fucking up any attempt I make to donate, volunteer or just generally try to live Green by sending me piles of unwanted paper or nowadays these pages might even be gross plastic crap. Wtf?! Here's the numbers of each of these "companies" in case you're in the same boat... Red Bulletin 855-492-1650 Priority One 727-443-2200
