I received a call from someone who claimed to be with Eversource and was ordered to shut off the power in 1/2 hour unless I contact "customer service" to arrange past due payments. The idiot didn't realize that for every monthly payment I make, I print out a payment confirmation so I can assure that my payment has been posted. I did call the phone number he provided and when someone answered immediately with no prompts, it was confirmed to me that this was a scammer. I told her that I knew she wasn't legitimate and I wouldn't fall into their scam, she hung up. The phone number from which I got the initial call is 888-202-3048.
