Chexsystems Identification Questions I tried to create an account on Chexsystems today. When I got to the page where I have to answer a few questions to confirm my identity, one of the questions asked me which of the four roads listed were closest to my current address. However, none of the four listed choices were in my neighborhood (plus, I have never heard of any of the roads that were listed as the multiple choices). So I called the customer service number on the Chexsystems "contact us" page. The agent said that I needed to call LexisNexis to clear up the misinformation and she gave me a toll free number. Being the over-thinker that I am, I did a Google search using the phone number she gave me. The phone number is 866-323-0932. One of the search results was the website for LexisNexis, but the phone number on their webpage is not the same as the number that the Chexsystems agent gave me. So my question is, which if the numbers should I call? I know I sound overly paranoid, but I'm absolutely terrified to fall victim to identity theft by providing my identifying information over the phone to a potential scammer. Any suggestions?
