My son and wife were contacted by jones chamber and associates indicating that I (Father) had a pending lawsuit. They called from different Texas phone numbers, I also received a call from a different number. They asked to call a 866 477 0695 number which I did. They confirmed my name and then they provided me with the last 4 of my SSN and was asked to confirm if it was the correct number. They indicated that was the only way for them to provide details of the legal matter. I confirm the last 4 of my SSN. They then proceeded to say it was in regards to a collection account from 2019, which did not ring a bell. They said the account was almost $3000 and I could settle with them or risk having to pay close to $7000 with court fees. I asked them to provide a website address and other details so my lawyer can reach out to them. They indicated they did not need to have a public site since they worked with multiple clients and that I would end up getting served in the next 24 hours. I call the creditor they claimed I owe money. The credit did not have a record of defaulted account. I stop all communication with them.
