I called a number 1866 829 1616 I saw online for an airline company. to request for an upgrade. The person answering the phone led me to believe that I was talking to the ailrlne and said that my economy ticket was on standby and I had to pay to get it confirmed. If I don't, then my tickets will be cancelled. They quoted a ridiculous amount for the upgrade and said that if I did that, then the ticket will get confirmed and I got suspicious and disconnected the call. They called me back from another number 480 576 2425 - Sierra Smith who was the floor manager to whom my call was escalated after I questioned the extra charges for getting my reservation confirmed. She threatened that my booking will get cancelled if I don't act right away. I said that I needed to discuss with my family and disconnected the call.
