I was called and they are trying to reach my husband said it was a civil matter and he needed to call attorney Janet Wilson at 866-988-1919 and use case #*******. I called the number and they asked what state I was calling from and I asked what company they are from and they said we transfer calls to attorneys for civil cases. I tried asking more questions they put me on hold I hung up called back and now its busy, I told the 866-988-1919 that I was reporting them they said no problem and hung up and block me. I received a call from Doservers24 CA on November 12, 2025 @ 2:55pm. The caller said her name was Katie. She was calling because they had attempted to serve me but the documents were returned unsigned and therefore unable to be served. She told me my case no> was 4544504-CR and that I needed to call the attorney handling my case by the name of Janet Wilson @ 866-988-1919. This is a scam! I live in a small populated County for more than 25 years. I have no out standing debts. All of the above call was left on my answering machine, yes, I don't answer my phone unless I know who the caller is. I have not returned the call as I had received another call just like this one, only it was in my maiden name. I received a phone call from someone claiming to be a process server attempting to deliver legal documents from Los Angeles County. They said they tried my old address and that the documents were returned. They told me to call an "attorney" at 866-988-1919 regarding a case number (4550393 CR). I verified that the real attorney named, Janet M. Wilson, works with the Los Angeles County District Attorney, but the phone numbers the caller provided do not match her official contact details. The case number they cited also does not match Los Angeles County court formats. This appears to be a process-server scam intended to obtain personal information or payments by pretending to be a government office.
