My 93 year old aunt received a post card stating that a cancelled magazine (National Enquirer) would renew at the price of $157.10. They stated they had her bank information and would automatically renew. I called the listed customer service number at 9:00 am, and spent 4 minutes while they tried to get me to connect to several scams, all targeting the elderly, medical alert devices, medicare plans, etc. I was never given the option to connect to customer service to renew. The actual number for the Enquirer is 877-212-1942. When I called them, The Enquirer stated that no renewal would take place. I spoke to someone who said their name was Ace at 9:23.
