On 3/20/2026, I was looking for a death certificate for a family member. I logged into, courtrecordusa.com, and proceeded to obtain information of a family member. The website listed that I would be charged $1 for the information. After that, I had the following automatic charges on my bank account, on 3/20/2026 for $7.00, on 3/23/2026 for $9.95, on 4/3/2026 for $9.99, on 4/6/2026 for $9.95 and on 4/18/2026 for $9.95. On 4/18/2026 at 12:55pm, I called their customer service at, (877) 381-8701. Their customer service representative, Lakenya, answered and informed me that the initial $1 charge was for the document. Since I viewed the same document in PDF form, it was considered 2 transactions so I was charged $7 additional dollars. Since I had completed 2 transaction, I was automatically enrolled on a reoccurring charge. I explained to Lakenya that their method was fraudulent and that there were many reports in BBB about their fraudulent ways. She responded that she was not aware of any report or claims.
