Recently closed on a home with a legit home warranty paid by builder and received a letter appearing hand addressed and with a supposed hand written post-it note on a letter mentioning to act immediately to activate my coverage else will be left paying for all repairs out of pocket. Googled the phone number 877-526-7875 to find its a scam. Thing is I did have to register my actual home warranty just last week so they know this could be thought to be legit. Beware, your home purchase is public record and these so called warranty companies and also mortgage insurance companies are vultures and use that info to scam you.
