I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AND VOICEMAIL FROM (304) 443-4169 STATING THAT THEIR MESSAGE WAS INTENDED FOR (MY EX HUSBAND). THEY FURTHER STATED THAT THEY WERE CALLING REGARDING A COMPLAINT FILED IN THEIR OFFICE AND A SIX DIGIT COMPLAINT NUMBER WAS PROVIDED. THEY STATED THAT "DOCUMENTS REGARDING YOUR FILE ARE BEING PREPARED TO BE SENT OUT, AND YOU WILL NEED TO BE AVAILABLE TO SIGN FOR THE DELIVERY. THE ISSUING AGENT WILL DISPATCH CONFIRMATION. IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO REACH YOU AT YOU AT HOME, THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO REACH YOU AT YOUR VERIFIED PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. IN ORDER TO STOP FURTHER ACTION FROM BEING TAKEN YOU MAY CONTACT THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT AT 877-832-4915." I CALLED THE NUMBER AND THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM SAID THAT I CALLED LINCOLN AND ASSOCIATES. I SPOKE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE AND GAVE THEM THE SIX DIGIT NUMBER AND THEY PULLED UP MY EX HUSBAND'S NAME. THEY READILY PROVIDED HIS NAME TO ME WHICH I DID NOT FURNISH. I ADVISED THEM THAT I HAVE NO CONTACT WITH MY EX AND ASKED THAT MY PHONE NUMBER BE DELETED FROM THEIR SYSTEM. THEY SAID THAT THEY DELETED MY NUMBER. I GOOGLED THE PHONE NUMBERS USED AND NOTHING LEGITIMATE RETURNED. I WAS ALSO UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY VALID COMPANY INFORMATION. My son received a call for me on his phone and he didn't recognize the local number they called from, 301-242-8022 so he didn't answer. He has the printed voicemail so he forwarded me the printed message. "This message if for (my name) regarding complaint file number (a 6 digit number). There is a complaint that is being filed in our office. Documents regarding your file are being prepared to be send out, and you will need to be available to sign for the delivery. The issuing agent will dispatch confirmation. If they are unable to reach you at home, they will attempt to reach you at your verified place of employment. In order to stop further action from being taken, you may contact the legal department at 877-832-4915. this call has been logged and recorded as proof of effort being made to notify you. I told him to block the number so I don't know if they called him back or not.
