I was reached out twice by Crypto.com for an authentication code, first on the 22nd and then today, the 23rd. I ignored the first one, but after the second one, I felt it was real. I called the number at the bottom, (880) 470-8305, and gave very little information, but I did ask them to ban my number from any account. I then called my cyber insurer to see if there had been any breaches, and they could find any record of a breach (including crypto.com). I do have one crypto account through Gemini, but I do not actively open it; therefore, get notifications from it. There is no connection between the two companies. I have blocked them via Gmail and also filed a report with the FTC as well (as recommended by my broker). I want this to be looked into, because I am not sure that changing a password is going to do enough if this continues - especially given it is financial.
