The scammer sent a letter under the name Andy Perkins, Program Director for an unnamed home warranty company. The letter asked me to contact the office by calling a toll-free number during their business hours to get my home warranty up to date. The letter created a sense of urgency and lied about the existence of a current home warranty. It was posed as a "final notice", even though I don't recall any previous correspondence from this scammer. The date by which action was required was 2 days prior to the date that I received the letter. RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED ATTENTION: ******* ***** It is important to contact our office at 1-888-300-7141 upon receiving this notice to avoid any unnecessary delays in your coverage before January 22nd, 2026 . This notice is to inform you that the property’s home warranty, at ***** * *** **** *** ************ ** ********** , may be expiring or may have already expired. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date. Please call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you about activating your Home Warranty. Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs.
