On 11/20/2025, I received the following letter: "FINAL ATTEMPT TO RENEW" Important Motor Vehicle Services Information. Please call immediately: 888-410-0191. **Extremely Urgent & Time Sensitive - This Is Not A Bill.** Attached are your new ID cards for the pending renewal of coverage on your 2021 (car). Our records indicate, (my name) you attempted to renew coverage on 11/17/2025. This renewal was not completed. You MUST CALL NOW to activate your cards for the protection of your vehicle to be valid. NO other notice will be sent regarding this lapse of protection. Along the bottom of this letter were 2 "Vehicle Protection Identification Card" showing my name, customer ID, effective date pending, expiration date, Car description, coverages (for the car), agent: Thomas S Cameron III & coverage status: pending. Seeing as how I had just recently purchased a car I was concerned. Since I know that on the date stated I was nowhere near any phone or form of communication this had to be a scam. I also Googled the phone number & the BBB website information was what made me connect & write this information. [BBB Scam Type: Other] [Business: PPG] [Location: FL, USA - 32828]
Mail came with name other than mine with expiring vehicle protection offer. Third letter sent with fake name to my address. Just a phone number to call. 8884100191 [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Ppg] [Location: VA, USA - 23188]
Scammers letter had my name, address & what vehicle I have. I did not give this information to anyone other than my former and current insurance companies, and the DMV in my state. “Agents” name is Thomas Cameron III. 888-410-0191 [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: PPG] [Location: AR, USA - 71961]
Received a letter in the mail from a company claiming they're called PPG. The letter mentions auto coverage lapsing and contains a legitimately owned vehicle by the person in the home. It lists an agent name of "Thomas A Cameron III" and simply says the coverage of the vehicle has lapsed and it's urgent to call the number listed at 888-410-0191. The text throughout the document is not consistent and there is clearly a random word/typo included that does not belong and shows copy/pasted info in an attempt to simulate a real letter. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: PPG] [Location: UT, USA - 84129]
sent letter with my cars information and a phone number to call 888-410-0191. I called the next to cancel the contract they keep telling me the credit was issued and it would take three months to get it Dollars Lost $495 [BBB Scam Type: Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill] [Business: Unknown] [Location: PA, USA- 19342]
