I recieved a letter today 1/2/2026. Same as one stating someone tried to renew coverage of a 2022 Ford Ecosport which I do not own. 888-420-7124. I did not call because I thought it might be a scam. Received a letter in the mail stating,“FINAL ATTEMPT TO RENEW” Please call to confirm your vehicle info Contact 888-4207124 Assigned Dept. Approval Division Attached are your new id cards pending renewal of coverage on your…Our records indicate, …, you attempted to renew coverage on 1/21/2026. I received a letter 02/16/2026. Stating I tried to renew coverage of a 2019 Ford Edge which I do not own. It said to call 888-420-7124 to activate I did not call because I thought it might be a scam. Letter received regarding car breakdown coverage for a car I don't own- has a fake policy number (BRI6406897)- no other means of contacting the company other than through the supplied phone number on the letter- 888 420 7124. Agent name supplied on letter is Thomas S. CAMERON III. Trying to put the pressure on me by saying this is URGENT and TIME SENSITIVE. After securing auto insurance with The Hartford/AARP I received an unsolicited communication via USPS including bogus State Insurance ID Cards. Quote: "You must call NOW to activate your cards for the protection of your vehicles to be valid. No other notice will be sent regarding this lapse of protection." Upon calling them (888-420-7124), the responder refused to reveal from whom he had obtained personal details concerning my vehicle and my home.
