The person called claiming they tried to serve the house but no one was home. I asked for the case number and put it into the kansas case search. Nothing came up. She gave me a case number, phone number and name to call. I told her so and said I need the case number of the filed case. She said that is not how it works. (Psst. Thats exactly how it works) I said it is! She said to call the number and good luck. The scammer called and pretended to work for the county processors office and provided a fake court case number. They said they had documents sent back from the address on file and to avoid a failure to appear in court they said to call (888) 434-0592.
