Scammer sends a text. Says to call 888-441-7524 to stop a 149.99 charge from Apple Store. When you call, they ask for personal information and then run a scam on you to access your phone or pc and get banking information from you for the false refund scam. Received a notification on my iPhone that someone tried to submit a $149.00 charge 3 times today, and $12,345 and $4,567 in August, on my Apple Pay account, and to call (888)441-7524 and they answered “apple support”…the person said he was David…he asked a lot of questions about my Apple acct. and tried to get bank info…he also gave me a callback number (805)457-3201…told him I would call back, but I contacted the real Apple support, and they went through all the security and safety checks for my Apple account and helped me change password etc…person had European accent… [BBB Scam Type: Tech Support] [Business: Apple support imposter] [Location: CO, USA - 80537]
