I was texting amazon chat support on their verified website about an issue regarding an error on their Amazon Music website. This then progressed to them calling me. I was speaking to verifiable Amazon customer service reps. I was placed on hold for a significant amount of time and transferred a number of times. The last person I talked to told me to call 888-461-1956. I did and they claimed I was entitled to a refund. They began asking me suspicious personal information. Thankfully I googled the number and realized I was being scammed so I just gave them the name of Amazons CEO instead of my real name and gave them the address to Amazon’s corporate headquarters to see if they realized what I was doing. When they offered me a financial amount of compensation I realized they wanted me to say yes so I said no. When I didn’t answer the promps from them the way they wanted me to answer they hung up [BBB Scam Type: Tech Support] [Business: Unknown] [Location: PA, USA- 19405]
