Received from Genesee 911 - report of a fraud located at 3188 BROADWAY RD, ALEXANDER, GENESEE NY USA 14005 BEACHHEAD VETERANS CLUB. I patrolled to the location where I interviewed NAME on September 20, 2025, around 12:03 PM. NAME recounted that she received a phone call from their bartender Gary, who informed her that he had received a call from a woman indicating that something was going to be shut off, and that NAME needed to call back the provided number. At approximately 12:05 PM, NAME reached out to 1-888-538-3391, where an automated message identified the call as from National Grid. She spoke with a man named "Kevin", who stated that a service technician was scheduled to turn off her electricity that day. NAME inquired about her total balance, and "Kevin" revealed it to be $1,498.00. She then asked how much she needed to pay to prevent the disconnection, to which "Kevin" responded it was $985.00. When NAME requested to pay via credit card, "Kevin" explained that it wouldn't clear in time, necessitating cash payment. Lacking a bill, "Kevin" sent her barcodes for payment at a 7-11. He also advised that she should call back to confirm the transaction was successfully processed after making her payment. NAME withdrew $985.00 from the bar and proceeded to the 7-11 at 91 Market Street, in Attica, NY, where she completed the cash payment around 12:30 PM. She subsequently called "Kevin" back at approximately 12:32 PM, only to be informed by a man named "Max Jones", the accounting supervisor, that her communication with "Kevin" was no longer permitted because he lacked the authority to adjust her bill. "Max" insisted she must pay the full amount of $1,498.00, plus an additional $400.00 late fee. NAME returned to the 7-11 in Attica, where she converted another $1,000.00 and sent the payment through a [BBB Scam Type: Counterfeit Product] [Business: National Grid Imposter] [Loca
