This was a mailing that said my home warranty is about to expire on May 1, 2026. I do not and have never had a home warranty. The mailing includes a phone number, 1-888-559-9097 that I am supposed to call. It has a sense of urgency to it, and they say they reserve the right to revoke my eligibility after May 1, 2026. Letter addressed to my father, who is not the homeowner, stating he MUST call to ensure his Home Warranty coverage is renewed/continued. "Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs." Came in an envelope without an address with a postal mark from Sacramento, California 95813 Home Warranty Division Private & Confidential says FINAL NOTICE (which is funny because I never got notice on a home warranty before as I DO NOT OWN A HOUSE.) It gives a date I have to contact them by phone number 1-888-559-9097 Gives the name of a person who is the program director ,Vicky Mercer with a little signature... Then at the bottom it says 4ever home warranty NO ADDRESS so in other words No address of the buisness anywhere only a phone number which tells me its a big scam anyways other than the fact again. My name and address were on the mailed notice that I was to call Vicky Mercer, Program Director, 4Ever Home Warranty at 888-559-9097 to renew my home protection. A customer ID and coverage expiration date were included. I've never carried home protection coverage. This is a scam that has been reported previously and given BBB number 958342. I received the letter in the mail. It stated final notice. I called immediately. The number 1-888-559-9097. A man answered as home warranty division. I told him I received a letter and that failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in my coverage could result in me being liable for cost associated with any home repairs. I told him I do not have Home warranty coverage nor do I want home warranty coverage nor have I ever had home warranty coverage. His response was so you are telling me you no longer want the coverage. I explained I don’t have the coverage. Nor have I ever had the coverage. He said that again. So you no longer want the warranty? I asked him when the warranty was effective. He told me one year from when I bought my home. And I said, 35 years ago? He began to ask me another question I interrupted. I told him I wanted my name completely taken off their mailing list. Delete it from their computer system and to never contact me again. At that point, he said you are declining coverage? I repeated myself again. At that point I felt like the conversation was going nowhere. I told him again to take my name off his list and to never contact me again via mail or telephone.
