I was called and was told that I have several investigations pending against me and to call 888-921-1851 reference M-1122378. They had an address from 2001 and my current address on my dl. They knew the year I was born and asked me to verify my month and day. When I stated that I was about to record the call. The guy got rude and said he don’t have time to play games and hung up on me. I then received a text from 682-317-9263 which stated that if I don’t call them, the police would be to pick me up. When I called back the same guy answered and said he wasn’t customer service and he didn’t have to speak with me. I asked if there are so many investigations against me why haven’t I received any thing from the courts. He stated he can give me all of that if I provide my information. I again stated that I would but I needed to have the conversation recorded. He stated that I did not have permission and that he will just let the authorities loose on me. I would like to sue them. Received a call from a semi local town, looked like a business number so I answered. The individual asked to speak with me and stated there were multiple investigations out on me. Referenced my cornering streets as my address. Stated they were going to be sending people to speak to my family and associates and I needed to call 888 921 1851 with a reference number he provided. When asked what this was regarding he started with the same thing multiple investigations blah bah blah. I hung up however I am worried about those more vulnerable falling for this so I shared. This is the second time they called. The first time they called a woman said she was with the legal department and that I owed money and if I did not pay this money, then they could take me to court and charge me with a federal crime. I first set up a payment arrangement because I was scared, but then my kids told me I was being scammed and I called the Texas Attorney General‘s office and they said threats cannot be made saying that they are going to take you to court or that they are going to charge you with a federal offense. So I stopped everything changed my account information and did not make a payment. That was back in September 25. Today they called again and said for me to call the office immediately there was a legal problem that was getting turned over and the case number, so I called back and the lady that answered when I explained I had received a call from this company before and that they had made threats. She said oh that’s me you spoke to and if you think I made threats before that shit and you can just do nothing and hung up on me, my care person that was here heard the whole conversation. I called back and a man answered the phone, and he said that my case had been turned over to the district attorney‘s office and that I was going to be charged. He then told me that if I was going to have somebody giving me things of what to say because my care person was sitting there that I needed to let my mommy speak for me. He then hung up on me. This is multiple calls that they’re making threats towards me and harassing they don’t tell me anything about what’s going on just that they are NRG and a legal department they don’t tell me what this legal matter is, and I would have to go look back to see what they were trying to set up a payment arrangement on.
