I received a phone call from +1 (908) 262-4115, which I did not answer. They left a voicemail stating their name was Marco Mendoza with "the credit executive office," saying they'd attempted to reach out to me over the past few days regarding a "personal loan request." They also said I could log into a loan portal to "complete closing documents," or I could speak to a loan specialist by calling +1 (833) 588-3819. I have not submitted any personal loan request with any company within the last year, nor had I received any phone calls, texts, or emails about anything of a similar nature. When looking up the number I was called from, there was no specific business attached, and none of the businesses that appeared in my search were of a financial nature. The way "Marco" spoke seemed indicative of an AI voice spoofer, like a prompt was being followed by a robot with no tone indication, and awkward pausing with sentences blending into each other.
