There were 5 people that is doing door-to-door in our neighborhood offering fertilizer for lawn seeding job. They claimed that you will only pay $15 per bag and everything is included, trash removal, sprinkler repair, seeds, etc. They said our front yard will take about 20 bags. When the work was done, they claimed they have used 279 bags and showed me suspicious looking empty bags! These bags are big it could hold about maybe 7 - 10lbs and my front lawn is small - less than 300 sq ft. I told them there is no way I will pay $4K, and the man - Alex is his name started to be angry and negotiated with me. I felt under duress to pay, and out of good faith, I paid in check. He initially asked for Zelle payment which I declined. This person did not give me an estimate in writing.
