I am reporting a suspected scam involving a phone call from +1 (954) 799-9726. The caller claimed to represent a vacation call center and stated that I had previously booked a trip that I did not use. They alleged I now needed to pay $1,049 to redeem or upgrade this supposed booking into a “5-trip package. I informed the caller that I have never booked any such vacation and asked for specific details, including when the booking was made, through which company, and how they obtained my personal information. The caller was unable to provide any verifiable details. Instead, they claimed it was “federal law” that prevented them from disclosing how they obtained my information. When I continued to question the legitimacy of the claim and expressed concern that this appeared to be fraudulent, the caller became evasive and ultimately hung up.
