Hello, I received a phone call November 17th around 1030am from an organization identifying itself as the "State License Benefit Association" in Florida. They claimed that TDLR (Texas Dept of License and Regulation) had provided them with my phone number and that they were offering benefits “only offered to front-line workers such as police officers.” I am fairly certain this was an attempt to sell life insurance scam. The call came from 972-688-9719, and when I stated that I was not interested, the caller hung up on me. They already had my email address and personal home address. They asked me questions such as How much do you make monthly? How much do you have in savings? Is you were to die tomorrow, do you feel safe that your family is taken care of ?etc. A lot of questions were framed negatively to imply you are going to die soon so you need to prepare. Then they stated they had "benefits" that they were offering such as health insurance, life insurance, death insurance etc. The young who called also sent me a link in a text message so I could see her face to face. I blocked my camera. It was a young african american womanin a red hat in a call center. There were many people behind her in a "call center" type of setting, they had head phones on. They were loud and laughing. This could have been AI generated who knows??? I contacted TDLR., they stated that they do not (phone call - they would not put this in writing, I emailed them and TDLR responded with a voicemail.) give out personal information for its licensed members and that it sounds like a scammer.
