Not sure if this is the right place, but I wanted to check a dodgy site I got sent to Got a call from my "Computer technician" (who could offer nothing to prove it and said he was the technician for all mac/linux/windows computers- very specific /s) who wanted to check my computer because he'd picked up bad messages from it. The first step was to turn off wifi on my laptop, which I followed because I assumed this was at worst the bit they used to trick people into thinking it's safe, so I ran with it. Took me to eventviewer and showed me that a lot of warnings had come up. So far so safe. He then made me turn wifi back on and go to www.121techhelp.com, with instructions to click on the windows technician. Seeing the look of the website I said I had to go and hung up sharpish. Did I do anything stupid, and is this website dangerous in any way, shape or form? Thanks!
