I was hired by Lakoyea Mundo with Amare Dignitas right away when being interviewed for the job position. They claim to be a start up company and there isn't much about them online other than their website https://www.amaredignitas.com/. Lakoyea was my direct and only contact at Amare Dignitas Inc. When hired I was sent an offer letter which contained very straight forward information regarding the position which was behavioral analyst for children with autism. During my interview, she gave me incorrect information on the position and how onboarding and training was going to go. I just assumed that it was my fault and I was misunderstanding. I came to understand that she was in fact giving me incorrect information, and using semantics when it came to many things, but my main concern was onboarding training vs paid training. In the interview I was told that I would be paid five hours a week to do training modules, and the training in total was going to be 40 hours. I learned that that paid training didn't include the curriculum training that they want you to do during onboarding. I requested a meeting over the phone with her when realizing this once I was over an hour into curriculum training (she had told me that the curriculum training took no longer than an hour). I was on section 3 out of 6. During our phone call, I asked her to please explain to me why is it not mentioned in the offer letter that I am expected to do unpaid training, and to also explain to me what Amare Dignitas believes the difference is between curriculum training and paid training. All she had to say was, "curriculum training is unpaid." And I let her know that the training is taking me over an hour because she had told me that it would not, and all she said was, "I'm sorry about that."
