Dear Better Business Bureau, I am submitting this complaint regarding a business operating under the name “Amazon Assisted Publishing.” My complaint is based on fraud by misrepresentation and deceptive business practices, specifically the false implication of affiliation with Amazon Publishing. Description of the Issue In August 2025, I was contacted by individuals representing themselves as part of “Amazon Assisted Publishing.” Their emails and communications were styled and worded to present the company as affiliated with Amazon Publishing. Based on these representations, I made a payment for publishing and marketing services. Subsequently, I independently verified that Amazon Publishing does not operate under the name “Amazon Assisted Publishing,” and that this company is not affiliated with Amazon in any way. Amazon Security has confirmed this. Individuals and Contacts Used The following individuals were involved in communications using the domain amazonassistedpublishing.com: • Patrick Morgan – involved in sales/payment communications • Mia Fred – identified herself as “Project Manager” (email: [email protected] ) • Harry Wright – identified as “Customer Support Department” and sent an “Order & Payment Confirmation” email These communications confirmed payment, requested manuscript and author materials, and implied a legitimate Amazon-connected publishing workflow. No disclaimer was provided stating that the company was independent or unaffiliated with Amazon. Refund Request and Refusal Once I discovered the misrepresentation: • I disputed the charge promptly with my bank (USAA) within the first ten (10) days. • I demanded a full refund and clearly stated that I did not want files, deliverables, or continued services. • The [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Amazon Assisted Publishing Date Repo] [Location: GA, USA - 30263]
