Edit: A week has passed, the job is complete and physical access to the bank was obtained, I'm in negotiation with the bank to released an anonymous diary of the events. So I've lurked on this sub for a while, shouting at things that piss me off in the world. (AntiSocialEngineer.com) I am starting a physical penetration assessment against a bank. Monday 11th (Tomorrow) I will start the assessment with no prior knowledge of the organisation and Friday I will be going through the door of their bank, with the intension of replicating a malicious social engineering attack. Everything is in scope! Aggressive recon, stalking on social media, bin diving, lock picking, network intrusion, phishing, calls, texts and broken promises & lies. I want to share this experience with Reddit. My ego has all but disappeared from the job now, if anything it's a lot of stress and like anything if it's done enough times it looses the sparkle. But I wondered if people here, maybe younger people that have a professional interest in social engineering would find me sharing this assessment helpful, interesting and beneficial? I'm not going to put any caveats in, i'll get a feel from the feedback if this is worth doing before tomorrow. If it is I will keep a new post updated throughout the week - it won't be this one.
