I received a fake text message from someone claiming to be Apple support. They asked me to call a phone number or go to applesupport.com to prevent a transaction from going through. They seem very concerned and transferred me to someone who claimed to be with the federal trade commission. The gentleman from the FTC then told me to immediately go to my bank and withdraw $25,000 at which point I knew it was a scam. I accused him of being a scammer and he said no if I was a scammer I would’ve asked you for your credit card information already And in the meantime, I received other phone calls one from Ohio and one from Vietnam and the origin of this one was from the Philippines.
