Helium Mobile/Nova Labs started a mobile service and offered a $5 unlimited cell line for life as a promotion when first starting out. Their site even explicitly stated: "Participating users will receive the Unlimited Plan Beta promo price for as long as they remain a Helium Mobile subscriber. Service cancellation forfeits this special rate" (this has since been removed but can be viewed via the links provided below). To be clear, I never cancelled my subscription, but was notified yesterday that the plan would no longer be available. I left my existing provider as I was misled into believing I would never lose this rate, and as such, also lost the rate from my prior service provider I had been grandfathered into.
