Warning of (probably) fake Braun replacement shaver heads tl;dr Many fake inferior replacement Braun electric shaver heads on the market. Though product photo and even packaging is looking genuine, with Braun logo etc. I fell for a (most likely) fake replacement head for a Braun electric shaver. I was surprised by the low price—I remembered paying about €25 last time about 2 years ago, whereas this time it was under €20. Unfortunately, the shaving head performs terribly. It constantly pulls at my stubble, and I have no choice but to throw it away. If you look on eBay, there are countless listings for Braun shaving heads (e.g., my model, the KombiPack 32B), all having exactly the same photos, looking like the original replacement part, all super cheap—priced between €16 and €18—and, notably often, sold by sellers in China or import dealers. Interspersed among them are a few more trustworthy-looking sellers, but they charge double the price—between €30 and €35 (in Germany). But I also found some import dealers trying to sell their non-geniune shaver heads for the full price or just slightly below. I’m not surprised that, following this price hike by Braun (jumping from €25 to €35 in just two years!), imitations and fakes are flooding the market. Cheap "compatible" shaving heads have always existed, but these ones purport to be genuine thanks to the seemingly authentic packaging in which they are sold. The item looked exactly like the product photos, and I didn't notice anything suspicious about the product or packaging itself. I’ve now ordered directly from braun.de—they even currently offer a discount with voucher code "SCHERKOPF25"—and I’m hoping that in a few days, I’ll be able to enjoy a shave that feels as good as new again.
