(the Dutch neo-bank). Not only did they hold my independent savings hostage for a month and leave me stranded abroad, but they are now actively weaponizing censorship, deleting threads, and permanently banning my account from their official sub to cover up their corporate failure. The Background of the Abuse: April 29, 2026: An incoming transfer of 2,000 USD triggered an automated compliance check. Instead of reviewing just that transfer, bunq completely locked my separate, independent EUR and SEK saving balances. The Vacation Nightmare: This happened while I was literally abroad on vacation. Bunq was fully informed about the urgency, but their AI bot "Finn" kept giving me open-ended automated templates. Human agents explicitly promised in writing to return the funds to the sender within 2 business days. They lied. The Regulatory Breach: On May 4, 2026, I filed an official internal dispute (Case 0505-dCm9OX). Under Dutch law, they had a strict 2-week deadline to resolve it. They blew right past it and started retroactively merging my help tickets to hide their non-compliance. I was left completely broke in a foreign country, forced to borrow emergency money from friends to survive.
