Google noreply@google.com account recovery scam I've had this scammer calling me for some months and never pick up, today I decided to. I simply asked for him to remove me from the list because however he was trying to scam me wasn't going to work, but he pressed on and on about it being real. To verify that he was a "real google support rep" he "sent me an email from an address only google could use" which was noreply@google.com. I checked out the headers thinking this was an old email address spoofing thing but apparently scammers have advanced a lot since I last looked into one of these things. It had legitimately come from google, and the email subject said: `Re: Case ID: 184635 - Your assigned Google representative is [real looking name redacted]` The only thing that tipped me off was near the bottom of the headers it said: In-Reply-To: <178207442083.88000.1677694806963731898@cameasty.co.uk> Which points to some random tiktok guy. Unknown if that is the same guy that called me, but its certainly not google. That domain does however host their email through google, I assume that is related to whatever exploit they're using to send emails through [noreply@google.com](mailto:noreply@google.com) . It was only the subject of the email that they could edit though, the body of the email was the standard "this is the noreply email address, don't email this address" text. That long number at the start of the address changed each time he emailed me. Eventually he hung up after I harassed him about his strategy some.
