I purchased a Career Evolution Resume Writing Package from resume.io, a software that I have used previously for AI assistance with my resume. My resume writer sent me a draft early, and I opened it. The resume was essentially copied/pasted from the form I filled out to send to the resume writer, and was similar to the resume generated by their AI resume generator. Career.io does not clearly explain how the resume-writing process works before you purchase it. Customers must download and mark up their own resumes and send them back to the writer. I realized this was too much work for me to do, given the service I hired to write and edit for me. I didn't respond to the resume writer, nor did I ask for edits to the resume. I requested a refund from the company a week later, citing all of this, my dissatisfaction, reasoning, etc. They have refused to process a refund for a resume that I could have generated with their free software in the time it took me to fill in all my information for the resume writer.
