Description of the fraud 1. Facebook advertisement In August 2025, I saw a Facebook Reel advertisement featuring the well-known Norwegian businessman Petter Stordalen promoting an investment platform. The video appeared professional. I clicked the link and registered my interest on the website I was directed to. 2. First phone contact Shortly after, I was called by a man speaking broken English. He encouraged me to invest 2,600 NOK. He told me I would be assigned a contact person named "Boby", who he described as "one of the best". 3. Identity verification and login details "Boby" called me later. He spoke fluent English with what I perceived to be an American accent. He requested photos of my passport, my driver's license, and a copy of a bill with my name on it. He then gave me login details for the following website: cfd.globalbondinvestment.com The website was professional. I could follow the investments that "Boby" made on my behalf – including coffee, currencies, stocks (NVIDIA, eBay), oil, gold, and other securities. I could also close orders myself, which made everything appear real. 4. Trust-building and personal relationship "Boby" called me frequently, often from Dutch phone numbers. He spent a lot of time teaching me about economics, giving me tips, and creating a plan to help me earn as much as possible. The plan was to invest from mid-August 2025 to mid-December 2025. We also communicated through Whatsapp. I have all the chats saved. 5. Investing savings At the beginning of August 2025, our family car was crashed. We received 220,000 NOK from our insurance company. "Boby" convinced me to invest these funds, as well as all my other savings. The goal was to earn enough to buy a new car. 6.
