A purchase was made for a pair of "orthopedic" shoes via Instagram. After the initial charge ($100), a second charge ($90) was made from the same company. I used their website contact form to ask about this second charge: their email response was that it was already shipped but I could return it after arrival. The shoes arrived 2 days later: they are NOT orthopedic shoes (poor quality) and they did not fit (far too large). I emailed them that I needed to proceed with a return: their website note a 30 day money back guarantee. They said they needed photos of the product and the shipping label: I sent these and asked for return instructions. In their email back they stated they "don't offer free returns" and offered to send another size if I paid an additional $30 shipping fees. In that same email they also offered to send another item of same value as an option, or to give it to a friend. They noted I would have to pay $35-55 in return shipping plus additional customs fees to ship the shoes back to China as a way of discouragement. Note: This company advertised itself as being a long standing Toronto based company and they shipped my shoes from Mississauga (according to the label). I replied by email that I need a full refund. They replied offering me 10% refund to save me the shipping costs, or to pick another item of same value again. Again, I said I needed my full refund. They replied by sending a long form to fill out for the return (see attached), also offering a 15% return option instead. Their "return policy" states they have the right to reject refunds for a variety of reasons including not meeting the 30 day window from date of purchase. Their website is www.clarkmarvis.com - their return policy is listed there. If I do ship these items back ($55 + $25 customs fees as listed on their return form) there is no guarantee it will reach them wi [BBB Scam Type: Counterfeit Product] [Business: Clark and Marvis] [Location: BC, CAN-
