Stamps.com is a Scam! Hello I have a tip about an online scam I would like to share. I recently used stamps.com to ship an old textbook. I signed up for an account but no where did I see that they have signed you up for their "pro-plan" that costs $15.99 a month. I found out later it says it in the terms and conditions in very small print. This company purposely mislead people into signing up for an account and then unbeknownst to them starts charging them for a plan they weren't aware of. I have two friends that have used them: one said his company used them and they kept raising the fees until they couldn't afford it anymore so they canceled and another that was charged also without her knowledge for services she never wanted. It is a scam. Our experience was very similar or almost exactly the same as those listed on this website: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/stamps_com.html
Anthem Blue Cross of CA will not let many log in to pay online, automated services won't work properly, and 2-3 hr wait times with no help with live person(s). I am beginning to feel a bit like a conspiracy theorist. I received a, "notice of grace period" letter to make a payment on my plan. I have attempted to log into the site but to no avail. Once logged in after 10 seconds it logs out for "security" and then it keeps me off for good for trying to log back in so many times. I have been reading there are MANY others having this issue. So, I attempted the phones. No better luck there. The automated system was giving me my balance for November, $0.00. So it said there was no option to pay because I did not owe. But the letter I received in the mail said I owed over $200 for Dec & Jan! So I try to talk to tech support to figure out why I can't log in. No one seems to have an answer. They give some run-aound answer that basically says it will work in the future at some point, but not now. I try to speak with someone in this alleged, "Customer service" department. Ha! That's funny. After DAYS of waiting 1.5, 2, 3, hours I eventually get to speak to someone who TRANSFERS me to wait some more. The other day I waited 2 hours and then it kicked me off the line. I SENT in my check the old fashioned way since they didnt seem to want to take it via modern methods. I sent it in with ample time for it to arrive within my 30 day grace period. It is now past the period and they have not ran the check. WTF... Here are complaints of others dealing with similar problems. http://www.yelp.com/biz/anthem-blue-cross-los-angeles http://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/anthem.html
