Debt Collector keeps calling Hello r/legaladvice. I'm just looking for a bit of guidance on this issue that is currently driving me crazy. I pulled my credit report at the beginning of May and noticed two items that are currently in collections (totalling around $600). Both of these items are being claimed by the same Collection company. I am not sure what these charges were for, so I sent two Debt Verification letters. This is the sample letter that I used: [Debt Validation Letter Sample:](http://www.creditinfocenter.com/forms/sampleletter9.shtml) I sent the letters via certified mail. Less than a week after receiving the return receipts, I also received two "account itemizations" from this collection company. These itemizations only tell me the date (sometime in 2007), the medical office's name (which I have no recollection of visiting), and the amount that I owe. It does not state what type of "proceedure" I supposedly had performed or anything. In my Debt Validation letter, I included the following paragraph: > I would also like to request, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your offices to my home/cell or to my place of employment. If your offices attempt telephone communication with me, including but not limited to computer generated calls or correspondence sent to any third parties, it will be considered harassment and I will have no choice but to file suit. All future communications with me MUST be done in writing and sent to the address noted in this letter. In the month since they have received my debt validation letter, they have called me 4 times (2 of which have been in the past 2 business days). I've read a good portion of the FDCPA and noticed Section 805 (c) which seems to apply to this situation. I answered the phone when they called me last Friday and tried to explain to them that I had requested that they no longer contact me via phone in writing.
