Is this a scam? This guy recently added me on TikTok and texted me. He flexes a rich lifestyle on his account. He texts me and talks about crypto, bitcoin and trade copying. I don’t have any experience in this stuff but I would like to get into it. He says he will mentor me if I’m down. I know him from Highschool and I am a few years younger, he is a chill person (He also has multiple TikTok accounts with the same username just the other ones are super old that he doesn’t use). So I say I want to try it. He then asks me to move over to Telegram. Strange why not just remain on TikTok or swap to messages, but whatever. He then sends we a link to https://cryptexagains.com/. He instructs me on how to set up an account, he tells me to invest $350 which is a lot for me but idk if that is a lot in the investment world. He wants me to invest it in Bitcoin, cool but isn’t it doing not so well rn? He also shows me a photo of another person he mentors and tells me about how good they did on their last trade. Seems legit. We run into problems because I am under 18 and cashapp won’t let me invest 350. So he tells me to use Venmo and talk to customer service on cryptexagains. The customer service guy tells me to Venmo a random account the 350 and he will invest it from there. This doesn’t work as Venmo flags it as a scam which is another red flag. So he then tells me to get Trust and use that. So I do and I try to but $350 worth of bitcoin. But it gives me a warning about people who add you on TikTok or social media, send a website that is hard to find when searched up, and that is trying to guide you to invest in crypto that you just added. Seeing this gets me thinking. So I do actual research and find that cryptexagains is super sketchy and dangerous. I then look for better websites and apps to use for trade copy, bitcoin and overall investment. I tell him about this and ask why not just use eToro, or Binance? He then give bs reasons and is really pushing for me to stick with
