I was given a gift card for $50 from cumoney.com. It had a $8 card fee tagged on the gift card that was purchased. The expiration date on the card is 07/2029. We have called multiple times and been transferred from person to person. We called Nov 10th and spoke to two individuals. I was informed that they would remove $5 a month (inactivation fee), and that is why my $50 gift card is now $0. They took $5 out a month until they took it all. The expiration being 2029 is misleading and their business in unethical. They will transfer you from person to person (I am currently on the phone with sixth person in a row today and have been on the phone for 1 hour and 21 minutes so far today. They all apologize and are trained to say the exact same thing to each person that compains about this manner. It is unethical. They believe that because it says this in the fine print, they are in the right. On Nov 10th, I was told that they would send an "escallation" to the dispute department which would make a decision within 3-5 business days. This is day 10, and there has not been a decision made. They are asking for all kinds of personal information which leads me further to believe this is a scam. The gift card number, name on the card and expiration date should be efficient. The last person I spoke to, Gerla said that she will send up a "follow up escallation", and it will be 3-5 additional business days, once again for that decision to be made. They said to call back AGAIN because they do not call you with the decision, This company is out of the Phillipines. Do NOT trust them with your gift card money. I feel this is truly unethical and have wasted over two hours in two days between calls and transfers and Nov 10th and Nov 21st.
