I am reporting a phishing website that is impersonating a legitimate brand. The site https://www.darntoughs.com/ is posing as the official site for Darn Tough Vermont. The actual, correct website for Darn Touch Vermont appears to be https://darntough.com/ (without the s). I encountered the site via a google search result. Unfortunately, I fell victim to the site. I added a pair of socks to my cart and made a purchase that was supposed to be for $25.57. But when the Paypal transaction was complete, the site it redirected me to showed I was charged $200.00. The actual charge amount as indicated by Paypal was $239.89 and the currency was converted to Japanese yen. The money went to someone named Frappier Namo ( [email protected] ). I have filed a claim with Paypal that was quickly denied without cause, but I have filed an appeal.
