My father's friend is getting scammed and I'm wondering if I can stop it My father's friend fell for a Facebook ad to buy crypto. They somehow got her email and whatsapp and got her to open up various accounts where she could buy ethereum and then send it to her "wallet address". The particular wallet looks like a scam in itself to me. For reference: digital-wallet.net She created an account there and can login to that account. She cannot send the crypto to another address because the passcode doesn't work (says 2FA) but it's just a random 6 digit code one creates when signing up. The scammers are desperately trying to add more into the wallet (she already send them +15.000€). Is the scam that they have the passcode somehow and therefore control the crypto? Or is the wallet a scam wallet? I tried creating a receivable address, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone seen this before? Edit: they keep wanting to set up a call but she only speaks German and they speak English and are using a translator app. They now want her to install a remote access tool - how would that help them if they already have access to the scam wallet?
