The scam occurred in 2 parts. Part 1, a friend of mine (who had "invested") approached me with this investment scheme including a plastic report-bound flyer describing the scheme. It sounded like an old MLM sales scheme, so I was not inclined to invest an initial amount of $500. However, we were encouraged to attend a zoom call with their upline contact and that is where it got alarming. The way it worked is you buy USDT through an exchange like Coinbase, transfer the crypto to an account on DSJEX and then you get "trade signals" on your phone. You then sign into the exchange and enter the trade code. Some time later you get notification of your profits. However, DSJEX doesn't seem to exist. 1) It is registered out of a virtual office in Aurora CO with a principal mailing address in Miami FL, 2) The website address changes frequently, 3) Cloudflare has blocked several of the domains for violations of terms of service (dsjex321.com being one of them), 4) The address in Miami also lines up with the address of the Fong Sam International Accounting Firms - which also appears to be a virtual office. 5) Even though BG Wealth Management appears to be registered with the SEC, they are an "exempt reporting advisor" and apparently not licensed to offer securities in the US and the individuals involved are not licensed financial advisors by their own admission. Several countries, notably Canada through the Alberta Securities Commission have issued warnings about BG Wealth Sharing.
