I was given a link to a site where i was shown step by step how to leave a review for a product and 'earn' a commission for the review. When it was time to collect the money, the tutor who i had to contact via whatsapp asked me if I had a wallet for ETH or crypto because that was how I was going to be paid. At this point I did some research and chat gpt said I needed to ask who the employer was. They sent me the articles of incorporation for a company called Amazon Electronics, Inc. When I went to search for that business, another business came up called Electronics123.com. When I asked my tutor about the name she insisted it was amazon who was the employer and that electronics123.com was a supplier and provides the items that amazon sells. So I asked why if I was working for amazon giving these reviews, would she give me the articles of incorporation of the supplier and maybe i should call them and find out if I'm working for them or for amazon. She said they would never tell me anything because it would negatively affect the product if the public knew the reviews were paid for. I also mentioned that based on her showing me how to leave the reviews and the scope of the work that there was a misclassification of worker as they would be giving me a 1099 after a 4 day probationary period instead of a W-2 which is a $20,000 fine her employer would be facing should the irs catch wind of it. She referred the platform where we left the reviews as something called 'workbench'. She said it was the supplier, amazon, and workbench partnered together regarding these reviews. She finally gave up and said since I had chosen not to believe no matter what she said, it was no value.
