I fell for the www.baby-cots.com scam, Constantina from Cyprus Hi everyone, my purpose here is to publicize a scam so others won't fall for it. Like anyone who has fallen for a scam, I would say it is pretty obvious now where I went wrong. I was looking on craigslist for a stroller for my daughter and found someone selling demo models of high end strollers. I messaged them and the put me in touch with www.baby-cots.com. Step 1: Email from sales department- "We have the stroller you are looking for! Send us your address so we can make up an invoice for you." Step 2: Receive professional-looking invoice along with price *just below* market value as well as free shipping to my home address (I live and work overseas so this was a big plus- these strollers go for 50-100% more here). Step 3: Asked to send balance of invoice via Western Union. This is where I should have put on the brakes, I now realize. IF YOU DON"T KNOW THE RECIPIENT PERSONALLY, DON'T USE WESTERN UNION!!!! Of course, I sent the money... Step 4: Receive email from sales department telling me they must send five strollers in order for me to receive the free shipping, otherwise I must send 120 euros to secure shipping. THIS is when I realized it for sure. Dammit! Step 5: Sent an email refusing to pay, and asking for a refund. I also offered to pay shipping costs on receipt, to see how they would respond. By now I am out my money so I figure I should at least play out the string. Step 6: They sent a tracking number and a screenshot of the shipping info page. This is suspect because I have never seen a shipper issue a tracking number so quickly! ;) Step 7: I ask for the shipper's website so I can independently confirm the tracking info. They sent me to this page: http://www.eurofreghtlog.com/index/index.php, purportedly the site of Euro Freight Logistics, a well known shipper in that region. I input my tracking number and my info came up right away! Pretty slick! Except they misspelled fr
