I was looking to change my group return flight of a roundtrip from New Orleans to Orlando, to an earlier flight on the same day of my scheduled return flight to New Orleans. While searching to see if I could change my flight, I happened on a site that offered third party changes to have my flight changed. The company is claiming to be called The Air Reservations, Southwest Airlines consolidation desk. (Extremefares.com) They had all the details to my already booked and paid for round trip flight. They claimed that in order the flight, I would have to cancel my already booked return flight and purchase an earlier flight and that I would receive a refund for my cancelled flight. I provided my bank debit card and was charged $1,789.89 for the earlier flight. When we arrived at the Southwest ticket counter, no such changes were made and Southwest advised me that the only booking they had was my original booking with the later flight still intact. They advised me to contact the company I went through that made the changes to remedy the situation. I attempted to contact the agent at The Air Reservations per the email supplied by the company but none of the contact numbers, extensions, or emails worked to get a hold of them. The called the number several times I used to speak with the representative that supposedly changed my flight but got another agent that gave me a run around saying that I would receive an email about refund details but never did. They advised me that this agent would call me back, but he never did. I later received an email reference to a refund but the information within is extremely sketchy.
