Anyone know about much about the travel agency Fareboom? My cousin and I found a deal on a flight from Seattle to Sydney on this website, Fareboom.com. I was skeptical of the sight and look for some reviews, but they were few and far between. All in all it looked alright. The verification process consisted of them taking a small ($1-3) amount out of my checking account, then having me check my withdrawals and type out the amount into the website--so I know they were capable of accessing my money. However, a few hours after the entire booking process was completed, I received a voicemail that my card was declined (I double-checked my account and there is no way it could have declined), and that I should call my bank, then call them. After this, I tried to find reviews and I think I found one about a potential parent company (when I type Fareboom in the search box of the site, Best Travel Agency comes up). The reviewer seemed to have similar issues as I am having. When she called them they said they could book a new flight for her, but for $10 extra. The primary contact person for Best Travel Agency replies, but the reply seems very sketchy to me. (reference: http://www.businessconsumeralliance.org/report/fareboom-13179353) TL;DR Has anyone had any experience with Fareboom.com? Does it seem legitimate or sketchy to anyone else?
